Apple has not published a repair price for a single product it announced on September 9. Not for iPhone 18 Pro, not for iPhone 18 Pro Max, not for iPhone Duo, not for AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4.
Nor has it published a per-device AppleCare+ price for any of them. That is the single biggest hole in Apple’s repairability story this year, because everything else it published, and there is a lot of it, describes how the products resist damage rather than what happens after damage occurs.

What Apple has published about durability
The durability material is detailed and specific, which is what makes the pricing gap so visible. iPhone 18 Pro has an aluminum unibody, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back, and an IP68 rating to a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes.

iPhone Duo adds Grade 5 titanium, Ceramic Shield 2 with three times better scratch resistance on the outer display, a hinge of more than 100 components, custom adhesives that let the display layers glide past one another to relieve bend stress, a titanium plate for structure and a custom polymer rated 40 percent stiffer than the industry standard. Apple Watch Series 12 aluminum models get Ceramic Shield 2 that Apple says is 60 percent tougher than Ion-X glass.

What Apple has not published about repair
There is no screen replacement price, no battery service price, no back-glass price and no out-of-warranty service figure for any of the six products. There is no parts cost, and for iPhone Duo there is not even a hinge care document.
This is not unusual timing on Apple’s part, and prices often appear on support pages after products ship. It is still a gap at the moment buyers are deciding, because a repair price is the number that turns a durability claim into a risk you can actually weigh.
iPhone Duo is the sharpest version of the gap
A folding display is a new failure mode in Apple’s lineup, and it is the one part of the phone with no published service price and no published lifetime. Apple states no fold-cycle rating anywhere: no folds-per-lifetime figure, no cycle test, nothing. Our comparison of iPhone Duo against iPhone 18 Pro Max lays out what else the fold costs at $1,999.
We are not going to estimate a Duo screen or hinge repair price. Any figure circulating for it is not Apple’s, and on a first-generation mechanism a guess is worse than an admission.
Coverage is priced, individual repairs are not
The one part of this Apple has priced is subscription coverage. AppleCare One costs $19.99 a month for up to three products, with $5.99 a month for each additional device. AppleCare One Family, announced on September 9, costs $49.99 a month, covers up to six people through Family Sharing, includes theft and loss protection for eligible iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, allows six total claims a year across the group and becomes available on Monday, September 14.
Per-device AppleCare+ prices for the September 2026 products are absent. Apple confirms in its releases that AppleCare+ and AppleCare One plans are available for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo, without saying what the per-device plans cost.
